Blown Blower Motor Fuse—Hondas
Original equipment blower motors usually include a rubber hose mounted to the bottom of the motor. The hose is open to the atmosphere and is used to allow fresh air into the motor to cool it. A TSB has been issued for the Honda models/years listed be
low, where blower motor fuses may be burning out and good motors are being replaced simply because the cooling hose is blocked. Before you condemn a blower motor in these models, check to make sure the coolant hose is not blocked by leaves, spider webs, or any other debris.

My A/C blower fan stopped running in my ’02 Honda CRV. I figured it was either a blown fuse, bad fan motor or the fan speed control switch had gone bad. The 40A fuse under the hood that read heater blower was not blown, so I replaced the blower motor last night and that didn’t work. I followed the motor wiring harness to what appears to be the blower motor resistor in the duct work down stream of the motor. Is there away to ohm this out to see if it’s shot?. Also when you turn on the A/C the compressor clutch does not engage while the vehicle is running? Right now I’m sort of doing the ‘ol process of elimination. Any suggestions would sure be greatly appreciated.
